  2. I don't think I ever realized that Julie has such a cool black and white pattern! What kind of horse is she? Also, how does she know that she's supposed to go around the circle doing a certain kind of walk/trot/canter? Is the trainer giving her voice commands? I like watching her canter. =)

  3. Lex my non-horsey friend, clearly you did not pay enough attention when I was spamming you with dozens of Julie baby photos. She is a Brandenburger, which is a German breed, but her coloring is pinto. She has been trained to travel around the circle, change direction when asked, and stop or go when asked, mostly through body language but also using voice commands and occasionally a little movement with the whip when needed (we don't hit her with the whip, just flick it so it makes noise). Glad you liked the videos.

  4. Wow, she's a glam girl. Just everything about her demands attention. She floats, and springs at the trot and just has a perfect cadence at the canter. She's just adorable!!!!!

  5. What Kristen said ;)
Julie is High Glamour. She's a knockout. I think she's ready for her photo shoot.
Her movement is lovely! Even in a casual trot, and she has GREAT suspension and an incredibly even, relaxed gait. Seriously, rhythm like a metronome. Nice purring engine from behind, you can feel the power back there. You must be sooooo proud.
And photo 1? Stretchy trot with so much suspension she's not touching the ground? That's some horse!

  6. It's official, that is one gorgeous horse. How old is she now? Great gaits and I love her coloring. I'm a sucker for pinto markings. It looks like her training is coming along beautifully too. Good luck with her.
